I was tired of constantly picking up the clothes from my young son's floor and having to make his bed. I finally laid down the law and told him:
"Every time I have to pick up a piece of clothing off of your floor or make your bed I'm going to charge you 25 cents."
I thought this would have made a difference, but by the end of the week he owed me $4.25! I asked him for the money and he promptly paid me $5.00 and said:
"Thanks Dad. Keep up the good work and keep the change."
