The Harley Mechanic

A mechanic was busy removing a cylinder head from the engine of a Harley Davidson motorcycle when he spotted a well known heart surgeon in the shop. The surgeon was waiting for the service manager to take a look at his bike.

The mechanic, while still working on the engine, said, "Hey, doc. Can I ask you a question?"

The surgeon, a bit surprised, walked over to the bench the fellow was working at, and shook his head indicating yes.

The mechanic straightened up, wiped his hands on a rag, and asked, "Doc, look at this engine. I open it up to get at its innards, take out pistons, valves, rods, most all inside parts, fix'em, put 'em back in, and when I finish, it runs just like new. Why do I get such a small salary as compared to you when you and I do basically the same type of work?"

The surgeon paused, smiled, leaned over, and whispered to the mechanic, "Try doing it with the engine running!"

Brake Fluid

One day this mechanic was working late under a car and some brake fluid dripped into his mouth. Wow! That stuff isn't too bad tasting, he thought.

Next day he told his buddy about tasting the brake fluid. "Not bad," he said. "Think I'll have a little more today." His friend got a little concerned but didn't say anything.

Next day he told about drinking a cup full of the brake fluid. Great stuff! Think I'll have some more today. And so he did.

A few days later he was up to a bottle a day, and told his friend that brake fluid is really great stuff. His friend was now really worried. "You know that brake fluid is poison and really bad for you. You better stop drinking that."

"Hey, no problem," he said, "I can stop any time."

Turn Back Your Car Odometer

A blonde made several attempts to sell her old car. She was having a lot of problems finding a buyer because the car had 140,000 miles on it. She discussed her problem with a brunette that she worked with at a bar.

The brunette suggested, "There may be a chance to sell that car easier, but it's not going to be legal."

"That doesn't matter at all," replied the blonde. "All that matters it that I am able to sell this car."

"Alright," replied the brunette. In a quiet voice, she told the blonde: "Here is the address of a friend of mine. He owns a car repair shop around here. Tell him I sent you, and he will turn the counter back on your car to 40,000 miles. Then it shouldn't be a problem to sell your car."

The following weekend, the blonde took a trip to the mechanic on the brunette's advice.

About one month after that, the brunette saw the blonde and asked, "Did you sell your car?"

"No!" replied the blonde. "Why should I? It only has 40,000 miles on it."
